The conference featured a keynote address by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov.
“In 2017, our President set an ambitious goal to transform Uzbekistan into an IT hub. At the time, many were skeptical, and fewer than 10 foreign IT companies were operating in the country. Today, approximately 30 foreign IT companies launch operations in Uzbekistan each month—clear evidence of the foresight and strategic vision behind this initiative.
Thanks to this vision, the IT sector is now a leading driver of high-paying employment for young professionals. Many talented individuals who once sought opportunities abroad are now returning to Uzbekistan to develop their own startups as IT Park residents,” the minister stated.
Discussions also covered the role of innovation and cultural development in the IT industry, as well as the opportunities IT Park Uzbekistan provides for international partners.
The conference will conclude with visits to leading resident companies and educational institutions, including Dyninno Tas, UZINFOCOM, and the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, where participants will explore infrastructure and collaboration opportunities.
IT Park specialists provided insights into the expansion of IT infrastructure across Uzbekistan’s regions, resident support mechanisms, business registration processes, and labor regulations.
