Briefing organized in preparation for the Public Service Forum to be held in Samarkand

This prestigious international conference will be organized on the occasion of the UN Public Service Day. The opening event of the forum will be held at the “Silk Road Samarkand Complex”.
The forum will be dedicated to the issues of expanding the potential of the public sector, strengthening human capital and technological capabilities in achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will be attended by ministers, high-ranking officials, representatives of international and regional organizations, civil society and academia, as well as IT companies and innovation leaders.
As part of preparations for the 2025 forum, a meeting was organized on April 16, 2024 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The meeting presented the preparations for the forum planned to be held in Samarkand and reforms in the field of digital technologies in Uzbekistan.
On April 23, a briefing dedicated to the forum was held for heads of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Agency for the Development of the Civil Service.
During the briefing, the achievements achieved in the fields of civil service, e-government and digitalization in Uzbekistan, ongoing reforms, as well as presentations on preparations for the forum were presented.
In addition, within the framework of the forum, a plan was announced to hold high-level plenary sessions, practical seminars, national cases and presentation of the country's experience on an international scale. The participants of the event discussed the development of international cooperation, expanding cooperation with permanent UN missions and delegations of various countries.
The comprehensive organization of the forum ensures that it will become an important international platform for dialogue between government agencies, the scientific community, the IT industry and civil society. Hosting of this forum in Samarkand is a clear demonstration of Uzbekistan's growing international prestige. At the same time, digital reforms in our country will be presented internationally as an advanced experience in Central Asia.
