Cooperation in artificial intelligence and online education was discussed with a representative of the Meta company

During the meeting, the Uzbek side officially invited Meta to participate in "ICTWeek – 2025," scheduled for September 23-26, 2025. The two sides discussed Meta’s active involvement in the international conference through an exhibition stand, thematic panel sessions, and presentations by leading artificial intelligence experts.
Deputy Minister Rustam Karimjonov highlighted the scale and significance of the event, emphasizing ample opportunities for Meta to further engage in Uzbekistan's technology sector.
Additionally, the Uzbek delegation presented the upcoming online educational platform "1M AI Prompters," set to launch in May this year, proposing Meta host its training courses on the platform.
Oleg Pekos also provided details on a joint pilot project with the Ministry of Justice, involving the integration of a chatbot powered by the “LLaMA” artificial intelligence model into e-government systems. This initiative aims to assist users in efficiently accessing government services and preparing official documentation.
Another notable project discussed was an initiative planned in partnership with NVIDIA, involving the participation of 300 students from Uzbekistan's leading technical universities. It was suggested that a similar collaborative project could be organized with Meta.
Meta’s representative, Samindu Abeywardena, confirmed his company's interest in supporting strategic initiatives in Uzbekistan's artificial intelligence sector. He proposed adapting AI models to the Uzbek language, establishing local linguistic databases, and conducting virtual sessions with Meta’s specialists. Successful implementations in Taiwan and Kazakhstan were cited as reference cases.
Concluding the discussion, both sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital services, and open-source technology. Meta praised Uzbekistan's ongoing digital transformation and artificial intelligence projects.
