Uzbekistan Hosts M360 GSMA Eurasia 2025 for the First Time in Central Asia

Uzbekistan is hosting the "M360 Eurasia 2025" forum on May 21–22, marking the first time this prestigious GSMA event is held in Central Asia. Organized by the GSM Association (GSMA) in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, the forum aims to advance the country’s digital development, strengthen its position as a regional IT hub, and enhance the investment appeal of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
The M360 Eurasia forum serves as a key platform for enhancing cooperation across the mobile industry and supporting digital innovation throughout the region. This year’s edition represents a significant development for Central Asia, offering a venue to explore cutting-edge mobile technologies and address sustainable digital growth and inclusion.
More than 500 delegates, over 40 international speakers, and representatives from more than 200 global IT companies are attending the event. Discussions cover the evolution of artificial intelligence, the future of next-generation networks, and strategies for regional digital transformation.
The forum opened with keynote remarks by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath, and VEON CEO Kaan Terzioglu. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of expanding digital infrastructure, introducing AI and 5G technologies, and reinforcing cross-border cooperation.
Minister Sherzod Shermatov noted:
“Through the M360 Eurasia forum, we not only showcased Uzbekistan’s digital potential to the world, but also laid the foundation for concrete regional initiatives aimed at deploying new technologies.”
The event is expected to enhance Uzbekistan’s international profile, attract foreign investment, and support growth across the business, economic, and social sectors.
As part of the global M360 summit series, "M360 Eurasia 2025" positions Tashkent as an emerging center for digital transformation in the region. The forum will continue on May 22.
