Illegal sale of dwarf sand boas detected at Kuyluk market

Employees from the Yashnabad District Department of the Tashkent City Ecology Department, in collaboration with the National Guard and media representatives, conducted regular raids at the Yangiabad and Kuyluk markets.

During the raid at the Kuyluk market, officials discovered the illegal possession and sale of five dwarf sand boas. All the snakes were transferred to the Tashkent Zoo. An administrative report was filed against the offender under Article 92 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resulting in a fine of 3 million 750 thousand sums.
In addition, other illegally kept animals and birds were identified and subsequently released into the wild. Appropriate legal measures were taken against the violators.
