An ambitious project for hazardous industrial waste management will be implemented

The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Ecology Jusipbek Kazbekov, VIIC’s Director of Development Kapil Lalwani, and Suez International’s Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Paul Bourdillon.
The agreement outlines the collaborative development and implementation of a significant project valued at USD 78 million, to be executed in three phases. The first phase involves the creation of waste stabilization facilities, dedicated landfills, and regional transfer stations. The second phase will focus on developing a preliminary engineering design and conducting pilot testing of equipment for producing Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), as well as incineration and thermal treatment systems. In the third phase, a full-scale RDF production and waste-to-energy facility will be constructed and put into operation.
