Dear organizers and participants of the II Forum of Turkic World Cultures!
Dear organizers and guests of the IV International "Bakhshi Art" Festival!
First of all, allow me to sincerely greet all of you on behalf of the Turkic Academy and personally from myself!
I would like to particularly emphasize that holding events that unite the Turkic world today on the ancient land of Khorezm carries deep symbolic meaning.
This fertile land has played a crucial role many times in the history of powerful states — the Karakhanid Empire, the State of Khorezmshahs, and the Golden Horde.
There is no doubt that all historical eras of this region have left their mark on its rich cultural code.
From archaeological monuments to oral folk art — all this constitutes a shared treasure of Uzbekistan and the entire Turkic world.
I am confident that the II Forum of Turkic World Cultures will be successfully held and will make a worthy contribution to strengthening cultural cooperation among our brotherly countries!
Today, active cooperation and integration processes are developing among the Turkic states.
In this regard, the leaders of the Turkic states openly express their political will and views on various international platforms.
I would like to especially highlight that Uzbekistan is playing a very important and responsible role in this process.
The Organization of Turkic States, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, TURKSOY, the Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, and the Turkic Investment Fund have been established.
All these organizations contribute to the rapprochement and cooperation among Turkic states.
At the same time, we must remember that the relations between our countries are based on the solid foundation of the shared history and culture of our peoples.
From this perspective, cultural cooperation among our peoples is of special importance.
Today, our independent countries have wide opportunities for cultural cooperation.
First and foremost, we must work together to study and preserve our rich cultural heritage.
In this regard, undoubtedly, Uzbekistan, and in particular, the experience of Khorezm, can serve as an example for other Turkic countries.
After all, this land is the birthplace of great figures such as Al-Khwarizmi, Al-Biruni, Khorezmshah Jalal ad-Din, and Abulgazi Bahadur Khan.
This land boasts a rich scientific legacy, ancient architecture, and remarkable archaeological monuments.
The Turkic states must work together to have outstanding examples of Turkic tangible and intangible cultural heritage inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We must widely promote our common culture on a global scale.
Together, we should create cultural routes and develop joint tourism activities.
In short, many initiatives need to be implemented by ministries of culture and tourism, international organizations, NGOs, and local communities.
In this regard, I would like to particularly emphasize that cultural forums are a very important and convenient platform for discussing pressing issues in the field of culture.
The first cultural forum was held last year in Azerbaijan, in the historic city of Shusha, liberated after 30 years of occupation.
Today, we are pleased that the second forum is taking place on the historic land of Khorezm, in Uzbekistan.
Thus, a permanent common platform is being established, which may serve as a foundation for long-term cooperation processes.
The Turkic Academy, as one of the Turkic cooperation organizations and the center for coordinating scientific research in the Turkic world, actively participated in the first cultural forum in Shusha.
Today, we are immensely delighted to be present here on the historic land of Khorezm.
The main mission of our Academy is the study of the languages, history, and culture of Turkic peoples.
Therefore, we are fully ready to contribute to the development of the idea of the Cultural Forum, which is extremely important for the future of all Turkic states.
Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you great success in holding today’s important events!
Thank you for your attention!
