During the meeting, the Ambassador commended Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate and the conditions established for foreign investors.
The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, particularly the expansion of investment ties in the fields of ICT, electrical engineering, transport, geology, and the textile industry. Measures to attract Philippine investors to Uzbekistan were also explored.
In this context, the sides considered organizing a joint business forum involving the business communities of both countries, to be held as part of the next round of political dialogue scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year in Manila.
