Uzbekistan and Sweden Discuss Ways to Expand Investment Cooperation

On May 29 of this year, Mansur Rasulev, Director of the Investment Promotion Agency, held a meeting at MIIT with a delegation of Swedish business representatives led by Camilla Melander, Director General of the Department for Trade Policy of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, with a focus on the industrial sector, electrical engineering, agriculture, and geology. Specific joint measures were agreed upon to increase mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Sweden and to attract potential Swedish investors to Uzbekistan.
The Swedish business representatives were presented with a comprehensive overview showcasing Uzbekistan’s full investment potential. The presentation provided detailed information on the country’s economic opportunities, favorable investment climate, and export capabilities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their mutual commitment to continuing comprehensive support for joint investment projects, deepening practical cooperation, and advancing new initiatives.
