Laziz Kudratov participated in a series of joint events in Baku

On June 20, 2025, in Baku, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took part in events aimed at fostering and deepening bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
As part of the business agenda, the 14th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. The delegations were headed by Uzbekistan’s Minister Laziz Kudratov and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov.
Opening the session, the head of the Uzbek delegation warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the strong and steadily growing Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relations, grounded in the friendly and trusting ties between the leaders of the two countries.
The meeting focused on key areas of collaboration, including trade and economic cooperation, industrial partnership, joint projects in transport, agriculture, and the food industry—pillars of the strategic partnership between the nations.
Special attention was given to the Uzbek delegation’s participation in the Exhibition and Forum on Trade and Investment Cooperation of Turkic States, where the "Made in Uzbekistan" pavilion showcased products from over 50 domestic manufacturers. A 40% increase in mutual trade volume since the beginning of the year was highlighted as evidence of the effectiveness of joint efforts.
The session also noted the successful advancement of joint projects for constructing residential and tourism infrastructure, as well as establishing a logistics center, cotton and dairy clusters. The Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company was praised for actively financing 15 projects valued at over $360 million.
Agreed initiatives included: a Joint Action Plan to boost bilateral trade, an Industrial Cooperation Program for 2025–2026, a two-year schedule of mutual trade missions, the opening of trade houses and showrooms in Tashkent and Baku, the establishment of a bilateral Business Council, and measures to develop interregional transport corridors, and cooperation in sericulture, cotton production, and dairy processing.
Minister Kudratov’s visit continued with his participation in the 3rd Forum of the Regions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which brought together over 50 representatives of the business communities of both countries. The forum featured B2B sessions with regional leaders and leading companies, resulting in agreements to further enhance regional cooperation.
The business agenda concluded with a series of meetings between Minister Kudratov and the heads of major Azerbaijani companies, where new areas of strategic partnership and the implementation of joint investment projects were discussed.
