Researchers from the Laboratory of Ore Formation Processes of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Geological Sciences are conducting research on the palaeovolcanoes Kizilmachit, Karasan and Khojabarku-Malyangur, located in southern Uzbekistan.

The field work is aimed at studying the palaeovolcano formations and the metallogenic potential of minerals located in the volcanic vents.
The research will determine the ore formation processes in these areas, the impact of volcanic activity on metallogenesis, and the prospects for these processes in the context of future geological resources.
