State Institution “Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology”: Hydrogeological and engineering geological surveys conducted at the Daugiztau and Kokpatas field expedition sites

Specialists from the "Hydrogeological and Engineering Geological Studies in Mining Operations" laboratory of the State Institution “Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology” have carried out hydrogeological and engineering geological research at the field expedition sites of Daugiztau and Kokpatas, located in the Navoi region.
The works were conducted in cooperation with the Kyzylkum Central Geological Exploration Expedition. As part of the field investigations, core samples from several boreholes were studied, and measurements of groundwater levels and discharge rates were taken in the wells. Core and monolithic samples were also collected from these boreholes and trenches and sent for laboratory analysis to determine their physical and mechanical properties.
The main objective of the research is to study the hydrogeological and engineering geological conditions of the deposit area and to assess the hydrogeological and engineering geological impact during the development and exploitation of the deposits.
