Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the session, participants discussed the country’s mineral potential and promising projects, and engaged in a lively exchange on ways to enhance Uzbekistan’s role in global supply chains. Future plans were outlined, and practical efforts currently underway were highlighted.

The First Deputy Minister also noted that thanks to cooperation—particularly with experts from the EBRD—the country’s legislative framework has been significantly strengthened through the adoption of the new Subsoil Law. He added that “the President’s initiative for a special tax on mineral extraction rights, which will be reimbursed to companies over the next ten years, will make our position even more competitive.”
