Uzbekistan's IT sector presented at Central Asian Business Expo-2025

Throughout the event, bilateral meetings were conducted with a number of prominent U.S. companies. The Uzbek side provided detailed information on reforms aimed at developing the national IT ecosystem, creating a favorable investment climate, and successfully implemented initiatives.
Particular attention was given to the Zero Risk initiative, the IT Visa program, and Enterprise Uzbekistan — all of which are aimed at facilitating international cooperation, attracting skilled professionals, and supporting startups.
In his keynote speech, Minister Shermatov outlined Uzbekistan’s priorities in expanding digital infrastructure, increasing outsourcing capacity, and strengthening international partnerships in the technology sector.
Additional discussions were held with members of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, as well as with representatives of logistics and other related industries. Participants explored potential areas of cooperation in IT and digital services.
Several U.S. companies expressed strong interest in the Uzbek IT market and indicated their intention to explore concrete partnership opportunities and launch joint projects in the near future.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Minister Shermatov also met with the Comptroller General of the State of Illinois, Susan A. Mendoza. The two sides discussed prospects for IT sector development in Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of supporting youth engagement in the digital economy.

Initiated by IT Park in 2024, the event aims to promote the region's technology sector and highlight opportunities for international outsourcing and investment.
