Meeting with a delegation of Envirol from the UAE

On May 13, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a delegation led by Elham Pourtangestani, CEO of Envirol, a UAE-based company.
Envirol commenced operations in Dubai in 2006. It is a joint venture with the Government of Dubai, specializing in the recycling of used oil, with a daily processing capacity exceeding 500,000 liters. Envirol is a subsidiary of the Alserkal Group.
The parties discussed the prospects for constructing the first waste-to-biofuel plant in Central Asia, to be located in Uzbekistan.
Specific steps were identified to ensure the successful and timely implementation of the project, and both sides confirmed their commitment to fostering long-term cooperation.
