Currently, the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Environmental Technologies Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 is taking place in the capital's exhibition complex CAEx.

The event is attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov, Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Bakyt Asangul, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Nury Djumashev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan Won Doyeon, UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Uzbekistan Sabina Makhl and others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Ecology Aziz Abdukhakimov emphasized:
"Today's exhibition is not just a demonstration of technologies, but a starting point for deep interaction between regions, sectors and states. Uzbekistan is ready to become a regional platform for the promotion of environmental technologies in Central Asia."
The Minister also reminded that global environmental challenges require urgent action, and expressed confidence that Eco Expo Central Asia will become a place where new approaches to solving climate and environmental problems are formed.
Eco Expo Central Asia is the largest environmental exhibition in the region, held in Uzbekistan for the first time. It brought together more than 3,000 participants from 30 countries, demonstrating advanced "green" technologies, solutions for waste management, water resources and renewable energy. The exhibition has become a dialogue and business platform that connects the regions of Uzbekistan, international organizations and global investors.
