The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Datuk Muhammad bin Alamin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ilham Tuah Ilyas, as well as the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance Akhadbek Khaydarov, Khurshed Mustafayev, Ilkhomjon Umrzakov, Umid Abidkhadjayev, and other responsible officials.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed matters concerning the development of mutual cooperation, expansion of joint projects, and support for the exchange of views and experiences.
In particular, the parties specifically addressed the following issues:
ongoing projects in the field of semiconductor production;
provision of technical assistance and support in implementing Islamic finance;
efficient use of water resources and improvement of drinking water supply based on modern technologies;
Supporting SMEs, particularly through exchanging experience in the adoption and implementation of ESG principles for SMEs.
Additionally, during the discussions, the parties exchanged views on projects being implemented to ensure environmental sustainability through the widespread introduction of carbon trading mechanisms, accelerate the transition to a green economy, and increase energy efficiency.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to strengthen and further develop mutually beneficial cooperation on the aforementioned issues.
