An exchange of views took place on cooperation with representatives of Citi Bank of the USA

The meeting was attended by the Managing Director of Citi Bank, Xenaro Pulat, Director of Corporate Banking Services for Central Asia and the Caucasus, Jason Zullo, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Khurshed Mustafayev, along with other responsible representatives.
For information: Citibank is one of the largest banks in the USA and is owned by the financial holding company Citigroup Inc. It specializes in providing financial services on a global scale and has branches in numerous countries.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the development of mutual cooperation, jointly implemented projects, the definition of future areas of cooperation, as well as the processes of economic development in our country.
In particular, the parties focused on the following key areas:
Continuation of the socio-economic reforms being carried out in the country;
Accelerating the privatization process;
Development of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and increasing their competitiveness;
Projects implemented in the regions on the basis of public-private partnerships (PPP), including projects to improve the quality of electricity supply and enhance the water supply system for the population;
Comprehensive support for the private sector;
Cooperation with international sovereign rating agencies;
Processes of joining the World Trade Organization;
Reducing the inflation rate and ensuring its stability.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation and expand the process of exchanging views in the above-mentioned directions.
